Let your light shine!

Are you joining me for the My Favorite Quotes Challenge?  It’s easy.  Each Monday, I share a quote that speaks to me, you then let it inspire your creativity…card, art journal page, scrapbook whatever your heart desires.  Just create, have fun and share in the Embrace Your Art Facebook Group.

For the challenge, I’ve decided to create in 4×6 for most weeks…but sometimes it might be an art journal page or previous art, like today.    I’m letting this be a free flowing challenge..meaning I will create whenever I can, in the format I am currently feeling but sometimes when life gets busy I may simply share the quote and you get to play.

Challenge: Create an art journal page. Let the quote and page inspire you.

Ummmm…well….I don’t love this page but I love this quote.  However, I refuse to pretend like I LOVE everything I create and it’s in my journal and a part of my journey.  I decided to focus on what I like about it and the gratitude of time to play, having supplies and being able to share.  I absolutely LOVE the texture and enJOYed playing…so why hide it.  So I kept it and I am sharing. LOL!   And so it is.  Letting my light shine!

Quote reads: “As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”

My thoughts: Just a great reminder that your light matters.  That how we live, how we shine inspires others.  It is a reminder that taking care of ourselves and being our best selves is really the greatest thing we can do to inspire and affect the world. We often think it is by shrinking but it is really by shining. Shine on my friends, shine on!

Click to Tweet: “As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”

Your thoughts?  I’d love to hear from you.  How do you interpret this quote?  Does it motivate you?
