You can start late…

Are you joining me for the My Favorite Quotes Challenge?  It’s easy.  Each Monday, I share a quote that speaks to me, you then let it inspire your creativity…card, art journal page, scrapbook whatever your heart desires.  Just create, have fun and share in the Embrace Your Art Facebook Group.

For the challenge, I’ve decided to create in 4×6 for most weeks…but sometimes it might be an art journal page or previous art, like today.    I’m letting this be a free flowing challenge..meaning I will create whenever I can, in the format I am currently feeling but sometimes when life gets busy I may simply share the quote and you get to play.

Challenge: Create an art journal page. Let the quote and art journal page inspire you.  Try using your fingers to create fun dots and or circles, as I did in the above painting.

Quote reads: “You can start late, look different, be uncertain and still succeed.”

I love this quote, it is very personal for me. It applies to me in so many ways. It encourages me to keep pushing keep striving big and small!

Thoughts?  I’d love to hear from you.  How do you interpret this quote?

I never thought I could make some of the art that I have made. I never thought I could sit long enough to do it; I never thought I could make a mistake into something beautiful; I never thought I had enough patience with myself to rework and rework and rework until it worked; I never thought that at age 69 (70 in December) there would be a world for me that could sustain my curiosity and give me a place of you can do’s rather than you can’t do’s .
