Art Vlog Week 6: Don’t be a sloppy copy!

Something new. Something different.  Something to share my life as an artist, a little sweet tea to make you smile and a bit of me to make you smile more.  LOL!

Come in, sit down, grab a cuppa and stay with me.  It’s short and filled with happy!

This week, I talk about selling art you have learned, created in a class.  Eeeeeee!

…and if you missed last week’s vlog, you can check it out here!

This vlog represents my opinion and personal experience.  Other instructors may set different rules.  What are your thoughts when it comes to making art in a class and selling it online,  in particular when it is clearly a duplicate of the instructors lesson.  Cool or not so cool?  Place your comment below.

Is there a question you’d like me to answer during one of my weekly vlogs, anything you want to know?   Comment below and I’ll try to get an answer for you.

Have a super day,

Tiare.

Utterly awesome .I so agree with what you said about not being a sloppy copy . I can’t understand why people do a class and then glory in doing exact copies of what they’ve learnt . Classes are there to inspire , learn new techniques and then apply what you learnt in the class to your own art with your own twist on it

Ummm, in my teacher-writer world that is called plagiarism. Stealing. Thank you for validating what I have been trying to get over to people who try to get me to sell my work. It’s. Not. Mine.

  3. Oh I 100% agree with everything you had to say on this vlog. Say no to sloppy copies! I know I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from classes, and shared my experiments, but I have never sold artwork. I’m developing and learning my artistic style constantly and would never even consider selling something that I couldn’t call my own.

I have been wanting to watch this episode and finally got the chance today. Boy you took the words right out of my head lol about the sloppy copy. A couple of friends and I have had this exact convo several times and I feel exactly the same, let your own spirit and art come out why would you ever want to copy someones art and claim it as your own. Amen to todays vlog!!

Congrats on the new classes and I have joined your FB page so looking forward to be inspired by you and follow you on this journey. 100% !!! ❤️ thanks so much for taking the time to share with us xoxo
